Davide & Chiara — A Flash Mob and a Convent, Bariano

Davide and Chiara, both from Rescaldina, got ready separately at their parents’ homes before meeting at the Chiesa dei SS. Bernardo e Giuseppe in Rescaldina for a 10:30 morning ceremony. The real surprise came right after: as they stepped outside as newlyweds, a flash mob broke out on the church steps friends and family bursting into a full dance routine, completely unannounced. Judging by their reaction, they had absolutely no idea it was coming, and loved every second of it.

From there, everyone made their way to Convento dei Neveri in Bariano, a 15th-century convent turned wedding venue in the Bergamo countryside, with a cloister, gardens and a small lake giving the whole place a quiet, timeless feel. We spent part of the afternoon touring the venue’s most photogenic rooms and corners for the couple’s portraits the kind of shots photographers always need, whatever the location before the reception properly got going: games that seemed to go on forever, a genuinely tear-jerking moment built into the film, and a cake cutting shot with the drone in full flight overhead (we’d even had it up inside the church earlier, which is always a bit of a thrill to pull off).

The crowd skewed young plenty of the couple’s friends, alongside family and the party carried on well into the night. All told, it was a full 12-hour day of coverage before anyone finally got to bed.

Photography was handled by Bottega Incontroluce, with Raffaele Ferrazzano of Kisset Films on second camera and drone.
