Silvia & Gabriele — A Rainy, Joyful Wedding at Tenuta Serradesca

This wedding felt a little different from the start, because I already knew the bride. Silvia is a videomaker herself, someone I’ve worked alongside more than once over the years together with Andrea Fantoni and this time, the roles flipped, with me behind the camera for her wedding to Gabriele instead of standing next to her.

Silvia and Gabriele, who live in Curno with their golden retriever, are both seriously into freeride biking and snowboarding genuinely sporty people, through and through, and it shows in how at ease they both looked all day despite the weather having other plans. Rain came and went all through the day, but it barely put a dent in the atmosphere.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Tenuta Serradesca, a boho-chic estate tucked into the vineyards of Scanzorosciate, in the Bergamo hills the kind of venue built for exactly this: dinner served outdoors among the vines under a sky full of stars, with light fountains glowing behind the cake table when the moment came. The bride arrived in a vintage black Ford Mustang, and the aperitif ran on live sax, grilled meat and spritz, with a photo booth capturing the moment for an album. Even the dog made it to the reception, dog sitter in tow.

Photography was handled by Alessandro & Veronica Roncaglione, and Andrea Fantoni joined me on second camera. The night ended the way these things should: open bar, dancing, and a proper party stretching well into the early hours, surrounded by friends and family who clearly adore this couple. Silvia herself is just as skilled behind a drone as she is in front of a camera — worth knowing if you’re looking for a videomaker who does both.
