Villa Borri Manzoli has been standing in the center of Corbetta since the 1600s, tied to a noble family whose history stretches back even further one of their ancestors, Bonacossa Borri, was married to Matteo I Visconti himself. Centuries later, the villa’s grand courtyard and gardens made an equally fitting stage for Mattia and Silvia’s wedding.
Mattia made his entrance in genuinely memorable fashion: arriving at the church by bike, together with a group of friends, entirely in character for a triathlete who works for a well-known sports supplement brand you don’t get much more “super mega sportivo” than that. Silvia, tall, warm and gentle, works as a primary school teacher, and it showed the moment the ceremony ended: her students had organized a flash mob right there outside the church, dancing to the Blues Brothers one of the most joyful, colorful moments I’ve caught on camera in a long time.
From there, everyone moved to the villa’s grounds for a reception that didn’t hold back: drone shots over the property, dancing that never really stopped, drinks flowing freely, and a crowd that clearly knew how to enjoy itself. Physically demanding to cover, genuinely satisfying to have filmed.
On second camera with me was Daniele Mileto, known as Keydioma, and photography was handled by Bottega Incontroluce.
