There’s a certain poetry to getting married at Villa Campari with a proper Aperitivo running through the day this 19th-century villa in Sesto San Giovanni was once the Campari family’s own residence, and the spirit of the place (pun very much intended) is still all over it: elegant halls, a touch of Italian design history, and exactly the kind of easy, sociable atmosphere an Aperitivo is built for.
Michele and Antonio kept things simple and focused: no prep footage, just the ceremony and reception, all in one location. It’s an approach that lets a day breathe without the logistics of moving between venues and it gave me the chance to really settle into the emotion of the day rather than splitting attention across multiple stops.
I shot this one solo, and it turned into one of the more emotional weddings I’ve filmed. Michele and Antonio were fantastic warm, genuinely happy, surrounded by people who clearly adored them. Days like this are a good reminder of why I love this job: it’s never really about the venue or the schedule, it’s about being trusted to capture something this personal.
