Not every wedding needs summer light to feel warm. Ilaria and Daniele got married in February, with a civil ceremony built around the “rito della luce” a light ceremony, in place of a traditional exchange of vows at Tenuta Acquaviva in Travagliato, just outside Brescia.
It was a day built on small, considered details rather than any one big gesture: four bridesmaids leading the bride’s entrance, one carrying the rings, two witnesses each taking a moment to speak during the ceremony, and later, cold fountains lighting up the cake cutting before the party moved properly into gear. The night ended the way a lot of the best ones do fireworks over the grounds, and a dance floor that didn’t want to stop.
Photography was in the hands of Michele Dell’Utri Studio, one of Milan’s most established names in wedding photography over twenty years documenting weddings across the city and beyond. It’s always a good sign when a day runs this smoothly, and working alongside a team with that much experience made it even easier. Ilaria and Daniele themselves were some of the kindest, warmest couples I’ve worked with it showed in how relaxed the whole day felt.
For this one, the couple asked for something shorter and more intimate: a 3-minute film built around a single song, rather than the longer format. I also handed over the full, unedited footage from the day something I offer whenever a couple wants it, so nothing from the day gets left on the cutting room floor.
