Giuseppe & Lucia — A Summer Night at Tenuta La Passera

Some weddings you remember for how composed they were. This one, I remember for exactly the opposite reason, and it’s better for it.

Giuseppe and Lucia an intimate, elegant couple, Lucia especially striking in every frame got married in July 2019, the last summer before the world changed with the pandemic. The reception was held at Tenuta La Passera, tucked into the hills between Milan and Varese, in a stretch of countryside ringed by small glacial lakes. The estate’s wooded area, with its long imperial table strung with soft lights under the trees, gave the evening a fairy-tale backdrop that held up even as the night got progressively louder.

And loud it got. The guest list skewed young a big crowd of the couple’s friends who turned the reception into something closer to a proper party than a formal dinner: dancing, drinks flowing freely, energy building well past midnight. It’s the kind of wedding that’s genuinely more fun to film than a quiet, controlled one you spend the whole night chasing real moments instead of staged ones.

Photography was handled by Bottega Incontroluce Maurizio Samà and Valeria De Gabriele and on second camera with me was Raffaele Ferrazzano of Kisset Films.
