Laglio is a small village on Lake Como that punches well above its weight mostly because George Clooney’s villa sits right there on the water. Theo and Penny got married just down the shore from it, at Villa Regina Teodolinda, and their view of the lake gives his a genuine run for its money.

The villa sits at one of the narrowest points of Lake Como, with the opposite shore barely 650 meters away and a private dock that puts the water within arm’s reach of the entire celebration. It’s the kind of setting that does most of the heavy lifting on its own intimate, elegant, and unmistakably Lake Como.

To do it justice, I shot this one with four cameras (A7IV, A7III and an FX30) plus a DJI Mavic Mini 2 for the aerials enough coverage to catch the day from every angle without missing a beat. The wedding was planned by Blooming Eventi, who I’ve worked alongside on more than one wedding at this exact venue, and photography was handled by Carolina Serafini, whose editorial style suits Villa Teodolinda particularly well. On second camera with me was Claudio De Pompeis.
