Getting married in the middle of winter, inside a royal palace, isn’t for everyone but Edoardo and Aurora made it look like the only reasonable choice.

The ceremony was held inside Reggia di Venaria Reale, one of the Savoy family’s former royal residences just outside Turin. Baroque halls, endless galleries, the kind of architecture that makes a wedding feel closer to a historical event than an ordinary Saturday. From there, everyone moved to Cascina Ranverso in Buttigliera Alta for the reception: a centuries-old farmhouse in the countryside near Rivoli, with views out toward the Sacra di San Michele a real shift in atmosphere from the grandeur of the palace, in the best way.

Winter weddings have a rhythm all their own. Shorter days, softer light, and none of the summer rush which usually means more room to actually slow down and capture what’s happening, rather than racing the sunset.

The whole day was planned by Chiara Viarisio, who works often with couples choosing Reggia di Venaria it’s a venue that takes real experience to coordinate well, between the palace’s own rules and moving an entire wedding across two very different locations in one day.
