Officine del Volo, in Milan, has hosted more than one memorable celebration for me I filmed Alessandro & Umasha’s wedding there too and this one, for Marco and Margherita, brought a different energy entirely: a Jewish wedding party with Benny Fadlun & the MazalTovBand leading the music, who brought me in specifically to capture them performing live.

The guest list included some genuinely notable names Italian political circles were represented among the crowd but the film itself stays focused on the celebration rather than the room. I leaned into a more cinematic pace here, favoring composed camera movement and considered color grading over fast cuts and constant motion that’s generally where my attention goes on every job: image quality, movement, and color, over sheer energy for its own sake.

I shot this one on a Sony a6300 with the 10-18mm, back when 4K on a camera like that was still a fairly new thing. It holds up better than you’d expect.
