Some couples bring two very different worlds together, and you can feel it in every part of the day. Emmanuele is half Italian, half from Hong Kong. Yan is 100% Hong Kong. Together they chose Nordelaia, in the hills of Cremolino, in the Piemonte countryside, to bring both sides of their story into one place.
Nordelaia isn’t a location that needs much help from a camera. Set among vineyards and rolling hills, with small hilltop villages scattered across the horizon, it’s the kind of backdrop that does most of the work on its own — which left me free to focus on what was actually happening between the two of them, rather than fighting the setting for a good frame.
The wedding was planned by Chiara Viarisio, a wedding planner based in Torino who works often across the Piemonte hills — the kind of local knowledge that makes a location like Nordelaia run smoothly for a couple coming from the other side of the world.
