Villa Rusconi Clerici doesn’t need much dressing up. Right on the water in Pallanza, on Lake Maggiore, it’s one of those venues where the hardest part of the job is deciding which angle to shoot first.
Daria and Alessio got married in the church right beside the villa, then moved everything else aperitivo, dinner, the whole reception into the villa’s gardens, with the lake sitting quietly in the background of nearly every shot. White and green ran through the whole day, from the flowers to the styling, and it held together beautifully against the villa’s neo-baroque façade and the green of the garden around it.
What I keep coming back to when I think about this wedding is the drone footage. Lake Maggiore from above, right as the light was starting to shift into evening, is one of those shots that reminds you why you got into this job in the first place. That side of things I couldn’t have pulled off alone Raffaele Ferrazzano, from Kisset Films, handled the drone and worked with me as second camera through the day, and having someone that dialed-in on the technical side freed me up to focus on what was happening on the ground.
The day was planned by Spazio Bianco Wedding Planner, with lead planner Roberta Adamo, who know Villa Rusconi Clerici well it’s one of their go-to locations on the lake, and it showed in how smoothly everything moved from ceremony to golden hour to the last dance.
